Rosedale Farm x Steve Cordony

A labour of love, the renovation of an 1877 Georgian farmhouse by interior stylist and Belle style director at-large, Steve Cordony has seen it become one of the most covetable properties of late.

After purchasing the regional New South Wales property with partner Michael, Steve converted the charming pied-a-terre into a luxury farm stay and boutique venue. Applying his flawless skills in merging antiques with modern pattern and textures, the new interior represents the authentic beauty of Australian interior design.

Steve began renovations working alongside his talented brother and father of Cordony Constructions, pulling out and re-rendering walls, pulling up carpet, taking down wallpaper and both rewiring and re-plumbing the house. By utilising an arsenal of suppliers, makers and curators, the end result is a home peppered with the finest of details, a true celebration of design on a domestic and international scale.

KITCHEN

The well-considered kitchen at Rosedale Farm has been transformed from dowdy country kitchen to an opulent hang-out space. With Porter’s Paints ‘Black Cockatoo’ deep liquorice cabinets providing an essential depth to the space, the brightly lit kitchen is speckled with luxury details.

With custom linen blinds, veined marble stone and recycled chevron oak flooring complemented by Perrin & Rowe tapware, handcrafted grilles by Oxford Grilles and brass Cotswold handles by Armac Martin, the kitchen is comfort and elegance encapsulated.

MASTER BATHROOM

The master bathroom is a fabulous composition of black, white, grey and gold tones. By creating an elevated zone for shower and bath and framing it with beautiful New York style windows, the bathroom is a clever use of proportion and space. Curated with signature dark cabinetry, sparkling brass details and plush fabric textures, the master bathroom is both chic and relaxing, perfect for a weekend away from bustling city life.

POWDER ROOM

The regal powder room features a tailored tented stripe Boyac wallpaper paired with gorgeous tapware and towel ring by Perrin & Rowe over The Water Monopoly Lonsdale basin. The focus on luxury fittings creates a balance of sophistication and playfulness, conjuring images of both the Russian ballet and a Parisian circus.

The mudroom at Rosedale Farm not only provides a practical space for washing pets and storing country life essentials, but is a corner of the home which demonstrates the beauty of simplicity. From the stylish checkerboard floor tiles, to an understated colour scheme offset by green accents in the Roman blinds and garden views beyond the double hung windows, the space is both modest and triumphant.
