Tapware for a New Era - Perrin & Rowe Art Deco Bathrooms

The sleek, clean lines of the Perrin & Rowe Deco collection make it a luxury bathroom collection worth attention.

Designed for the Berkeley Penthouse Apartments in Ebury Square, London, the Perrin & Rowe Deco Collection of faceted tapware is now available in New Zealand exclusively through In Residence.

The Deco Collection features a geometry represented by sleek, clean lines, giving each piece a sophisticated elegance.  While reflecting the Art Deco period’s admiration for the inherent design qualities of machine-made objects including symmetry and consistency, these fittings are hand finished to give the refined quality essential to a luxury product.

Magnificent in chrome, the Deco Collection is also available in six alternative finishes, including polished or satin bare brass.

Designing an Art Deco bathroom involves capturing the elegance, luxury, and geometric patterns characteristic of the Art Deco movement. Here are five tips to help you achieve that:

Luxurious Materials: Choose luxurious materials such as marble, chrome, brass, and glass to evoke the opulence associated with Art Deco. Marble countertops, chrome fixtures, and brass accents can enhance the lavish feel of the bathroom.

Bold Colors: Opt for bold and contrasting colors to make a statement. Black and white combinations are quintessentially Art Deco, but you can also use rich jewel tones like emerald green, sapphire blue, or ruby red for accents. Consider incorporating these colors through tiles, paint, or accessories.

Geometric Patterns: Incorporate geometric shapes and patterns into the design. Consider using geometric tiles for the flooring or walls. Hexagonal or octagonal tiles can create a stunning visual effect. Additionally, mirrors with geometric frames can add to the Art Deco aesthetic.

Streamlined Fixtures: Select streamlined and sleek fixtures that reflect the streamlined aesthetic of the Art Deco era. Look for angular faucets, pedestal sinks with geometric shapes, and tubs with clean lines. Chrome or polished nickel finishes are ideal for achieving an authentic Art Deco look.

Art Deco Accessories: Add finishing touches with Art Deco accessories. Look for mirrors, light fixtures, towel bars, and cabinet hardware inspired by the Art Deco style. These accessories often feature geometric motifs, stepped designs, and intricate detailing that complement the overall theme of the bathroom.

By incorporating these elements into your design, you can create a stylish and sophisticated Art Deco bathroom that exudes timeless elegance.
