Model code: DP1002
Inspired by contemporary shapes, Joseph Giles experimented with the way in which round and rectangular shapes coalesce and complement each other, hence the Bailey was born. The Bailey design demonstrates a perfect balance of form and function; the overall look is delicate whilst the functionality is reassuring and solid. As well as mid-century art, one of Joseph Giles' other sources of inspiration was the London Underground logo, dubbed the 'roundel', which employs the same combination of shapes. The logo, first conceptualised in 1905, was originally a blue bar over a red disk; made to make passengers aware of the station name. The Bailey door pull handles are made from the finest grade solid brass and are available in all Joseph Giles signature finishes. They come with a 10-year mechanical guarantee and are supplied for either glass or timber doors. They are sold individually for single side applications or as a pair for back to back applications. Fixing options will suit timber doors up to 54mm thick, glass doors 10-12mm thick.
