Finishes

The selection of finish for your tapware and accessories is a matter of personal taste and will depend upon the style of house and the interior design aspects of colour, cabinetry design, appliances and fittings. Care may be needed to ensure compatibility with other kitchen appliances in close proximity, such as a stainless steel sink or refrigerator.

Perrin & Rowe uniquely offer New Zealand specifiers and home owners a selection of premium quality finishes for both the traditional and contemporary ranges.  The thickness of all plated finishes far exceeds the required depth, providing superior appearance and longevity.  The Perrin & Rowe traditional tapware is available in Chrome, polished Nickel, Pewter (brushed Nickel), Gold, English Bronze and uncoated bare brass, whilst the Perrin & Rowe Contemporary tapware is available in both Chrome and Pewter finishes.

Hawthorn Hill towel warmers and basin stands are finished to the highest quality. We closely match Hawthorn Hill finishes to suit each Perrin & Rowe finish, for consistency throughout projects.

Chrome: A shiny finish with a hint of blue for a classical or contemporary feel.
 

 

Polished Nickel: A shiny finish with a golden glow. If left, Nickel will develop an aged patina (similar to silverware) and an occasional polish will restore its original gleam. 

 

Pewter: A brushed Nickel finish to perfectly complement stainless steel sinks and appliances 

 

Gold: This finish, made with real gold, will give a luxurious look that lasts. 

 

English Bronze: A rich, satin, chocolate finish for a bold, distinctive look. (Perrin & Rowe products only. Bathroom products by special order.) 

 

Bare brass: As a living finish, the initial polished appearance of brass will mature over time to develop a patina and unique character reminiscent of old brassware. We recommend this finish for outdoor kitchens & shower areas, particularly in coastal areas. 

Uncoated bare brass is becoming increasingly popular as the selected finish for kitchen and bathroom tapware and fittings.

When left uncoated, high quality brass develops a golden patina which complements natural coastal elements and organic stones like granite, marble and limestone. Uncoated bare brass can become a feature in exposed situations such as al fresco kitchens and for outdoor showers at beach houses. 

In Residence can provide taps, shower fittings and bathroom accessories in uncoated bare brass. Hawthorn Hill towel warmers are also available in bare brass for a classical, heritage look.

Please enquire about our stock levels of uncoated bare brass products.  Most uncoated bare brass products will need to be special order, however we keep stock of some kitchen taps and outdoor showers.
